Scott
Scott reported back to the board about the President's Cup tournament, which overall he felt was a good tournament. There was a small issue with scoring in a few games and not all the
pizza was eaten, which relates to a topic discussed at the last board meeting and whether pizza should be provided. Scott mentioned
that a board at the tournament, but Cliff picked this up. This highlighted a need to pay attention to where boards are stored when
left at SCCDA venues.
One player allowed in the tournament that was not part of the invitee list and this was discussed with the attendees who agreed it
should be allowed. Cliff highlighted that this tournament and the A league tournament are by invitation only, so should allowing non-invited players be reviewed? The board did not come to any conclusion following further discussion.
Cliff
Cliff talked about the Commissioner's cup, where 6 no shows caused some issues for the tournament. This may have been due to lack
of interest or lack of communication about the tournament.
Fred
Fred provided some feedback about the Solstice tournament, where 12 players showed up to play providing enough for 7 teams, with
a few B league players also participating. The raffle collected $80. The board agreed that in future, it might be a good idea to
provide flyers for this type of tournament so that more people are aware of the event.
Fred reported some non awarded highlights to include in the summer banquet awards:

Summer Banquet
Cliff has the HTML pages to send Fred/Rick, where the current results can be entered for the trophy list to provide to Crestor.
In addition, Cliff has talked to Poet, but will find out this week about drink prices; last time this was $3 per drink. Roger has an
estimate for food at the Poet but needs to get back to the board with an update.
Rick has agreed to put together the information for the new board positions and also update the league rules once
Cliff has provided new rule information. While discussing the rules, Cliff mentioned he would also hand over website password info
for some access controlled areas of the website.
Finally, Scott needs to call Crestor about the President's Award.
- NEW BUSINESS
A League First Place Trophies
The first place team in the A league this season would like trophies rather than the traditional pitcher or medal. These need
to be ordered. Fred will check with Cliff on this and may order some trophies from A-Z darts.
In addition, some All Star pins may also be needed soon; Cliff has some and will pass these on. The current price for these is
estimated at $1.25 a piece.
3 Man League
The board discussed whether SCCDA actually needs a three man league this summer and if there is indeed time to run it
before the summer season re-starts. No final decision was made.
Next Season Start
The dates for the start of the next season are August 19th and 20th for B and A league's respectively. There will be a Captain's
meeting the week before at 1007, August 11th, which will also be signup night. Flyers to be handed out at the banquet and via email
informing SCCDA members of these dates.
