- OFFICER REPORTS
Scott
Scott mentioned that Cliff would continue to serve out his position as league commissioner if the board was happy for him to do so.
All board members agreed that letting Cliff serve out his remaining term as league commissioner was in the best interests of the
league. The league noted however, that Cliff is expected to be unavailable for the next five weeks while he takes a vacation.
- UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Suspension of 86ers
Due to unpaid finances and repeated issues with the 86ers home venue, the team has been suspended from the league for the remainder
of this season. The board agreed to review applications for the 86ers to return to the league next season.
Inter League Play
The board continued to discuss inter league play, but decided that it is too late to organize for the end of this season.
A better suggestion would be to ask league members their opinion and vote on the concept at the summer league banquet.
- NEW BUSINESS
Post Office Box
No resolution for the current situation involving the SCCDA post box.
League Bank Account
In Cliff's absence, there are no foreseen problems that might arise with respect to league finances or access to the league bank account. As a
precautionary measure, Scott agreed to check with Crestor and review any outstanding financial obligations and do a stock take.
ADO Membership
The board discussed whether the SCCDA should join the ADO. No consensus was reached.
- SUMMER LEAGUE BANQUET
From discussions with the league venues, neither the Britannia Arms nor Bocci's are interested in hosting the summer league banquet, leaving the most
likely location as the Poet and Patriot. A tentative date of July 26th has been set aside for the banquet. In addition, a date of June 17th has
been suggested as the date for the summer solstice tournament at the Windjammer - this is to be confirmed.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
- NEXT MEETING:
9th June 2008 @ 7:00 p.m. Location Bocci's; all League members are welcome.
