NEW BUSINESS:
1. Motion to extend Protest time limit.
Abel made a motion to set aside the protest rule of filing within 24 hours.
He feels one day is not enough time for Captains to contact teammates, board members and other Captains to receive advice and get other viewpoints of incidents.
He also feels that this does not give the Captain enough time to contact the Commissioner to get a physical copy to him.
Charlie suggested we not discuss this now as an issue.
Issue will be discussed at the next meeting.
2. Website usage.
Cliff addressed the issue of Abel using the league website to air his grievances. He feels that only Board approved information should be listed on the site and the site should not be used for editorial comment.
Abel is the webmaster and has sole access to the website.
He had used the site to voice his views of how the ruling of the formal complaint against the Privateers was conducted.
It has been decided that all board members should have access to the password and the website.
Discussion to add an editorial page and forum to the site is tabled for another meeting. Though some board members feel that this is not a neccessary addition for the site.
3. Misconduct protest.
Chris Wilmoth of Bocci's Brigade filed a complaint of misconduct which occured during the match between the Brigade and Avenue World Order at Bocci's Cellar. It is a formal complaint against Abel, a member of the AWO team and the owner of the Avenue.
Chris had concerns about Abel’s behavior setting a bad example for the league's image and causing consternation amongst players.
Abel complained of the lighting, heater, employees of Bocci's and the overall atmosphere of Bocci's Cellar.
In conversations held with Abel during and after the match, he promised to make life miserable for the Bocci's team during their next scheduled match at the Avenue.
Charlie motioned to accept the written complaint Chris brought to the meeting.
Cliff motioned we take preventative action before any other misconduct occurs. The votes were unanimous.
Abel(The Statistician) will contact Axl, Captain of AWO, notifying him of the written complaint against Abel.
Abel(The Statistician) will also draft a letter to be given to Abel(The player of AWO) notifying him of his '1st warning' due to his unsportsmanlike conduct.
Next meetings topics of discussion. (but not limited to)
